Water Activities 2000

During the summer we spend most of our time out on the water. We canoe and sail in Portsmouth Harbour, Langstone Harbour or Alverstoke Lake. We provide training in theory and practicise such that the scouts can be assessed for BCU and RYA sailing qualifications. To participate in the water activities all must demonstrate a 50 metre swim, in clothes, at the local pool.

When the tide goes out it gets a little bit muddy. Both the boats and the scouts need a hose down. This isn't right..the water should be outside the canoe not inside You can't all get in the one canoe! This canoeing uphill is hard work Do we really need a deck hand?
