Local Area

The scout group is situated at the base of Portsdown Hill which overlooks Portsmouth and its harbour.

The Hill is chalkland providing walks and areas for scout games. The views across Portsmouth, the Solent and the Isle of Wight are excellent.

There are two harbours providing a sheltered environment for sailing and canoeing making it ideal for our water activities.
We generally use Langstone Harbour as we base our water activities from the Tudor Sailing Club which lies on Langstone harbour.

Portsmouth is an ancient naval city famous for its historic ships; HMS Victory; Mary Rose; HMS Warrior as well as the local Forts and castles

Further information is available from the Portsmouth tourist centre, the council and other on-line guides
