2001
The Beavers won the District Colouring competition.
Once again we won the District Chess competition. Congratulations to Andrew Smith and the team. Andrew has now won three years running. Peter Tanner came third.
The 43rd and the local Air Scouts have frequent inter-group challanges.This terms challange involved a canoe relay race in Springfield pool. The 43rd won this time and retain the trophy.
2000
Once again we won the District Chess competition. Congratulations to Andrew Smith and the team.
District Wide Game
One of our teams were the only team to complete the challenge in the District Wide Game of hunt the flag on Portsdown Hill.
Due to sickness we could only put in a single team for the District Lamp Trophy this year... but we won yet again. Congratulations to Pete, Paul, Morgan, Matt & Graham.
The weather was terrible with rain and low cloud making visibility poor. Many teams gave up after only a couple of bases and most got lost (incorrect directions didn't help!). Only four teams actually made it to base 4, run by Andy and Pete. One of those came back as they couldn't find the way off the hill to the next base so our lads helped them find their way.
